We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Winston Rawlins Greenwell of Hampton, VA, age 74. Winston died peacefully at home on 14 October 2022 with his loved ones by his side. He was a proud Marine Corps veteran, devoted husband, inspirational father, and a strong leader and mentor. It is difficult times such as these that we would turn to Winston for his guidance and wisdom. Winston is survived by Cheryl Gust Greenwell, his wife of 53 years whose love for him shall be eternal, his son Billy, his father and mother Bill and Lee Greenwell, his brothers and sisters-in-law Gary and Phyllis, Eddie, and Duane and Terry, and his brother-in-law Jack Gust. We are overwhelmed by the empathy and support from family, friends, and the community. Winston will receive full military honors, and his ashes will be scattered at his old hunting grounds in a private ceremony, as was his wish.
