Wilson S. Hunt, III - Class Of 1965 VIEW PROFILE

Wilson S. Hunt, III of Kalamazoo passed away Monday September 12, 2022 at home. Wilson was born March 8, 1945 in Louisville, KY the oldest son of Wilson and Mary (Wallace) Hunt. He was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kalamazoo Stake. On October 7, 1966 in Olmsted Falls, OH Wilson was united in marriage to the former Sharon Drummond who survives.  Also surviving are six children, Scott (Kim) Hunt, Bryan “B.G.” (Karen) Hunt, Todd Hunt, Randall (Megan) Hunt, Quentin Hunt, Sharlyn (Lee) Everage; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. Coaching was a lifetime passion and was exemplified by coaching all his children in one sport or another. He retired as a purchasing agent from Eaton Corp after 32 years of dedicated service. In retirement, he enjoyed gardening, golf, and genealogy.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Hunt. Friends will be received 5-8 pm Thursday September 15, 2022 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home and 10-11 am Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1112 N. Drake Rd Kalamazoo, MI 49006, where services will follow at 11 am. Interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Western Michigan University Center for Disability Services or the American Cancer Society. www.redmondfuneralhomes.net
