RICHMOND - Vincent Y. Muguira, age 48, died the morning of Thursday, Aug. 3, 1995, at Henrico Doctors' Hospital, Richmond, surrounded by a circle of loving family and friends.He is survived by his wife, Dr. Martha L. Muguira; daughter, Melanie Elyse Muguira; son, Christopher Vincent Muguira; parents, Julia E. and Frank V. Muguira; brother, James A. Muguira; and a community of friends and family in Richmond, Tidewater and Mexico City.Born May 30, 1947, in San Francisco, Calif., Vince was a longtime resident of Hampton. He was an Eagle Scout, a Vietnam Army veteran, entrepreneur, information systems manager and note broker.Loving husband of 28 years, father, friend and companion, Vince was a man of vision, humor, hope, and above all, courage. In health and illness, Vince embraced life with joyful passion.An interdenominational memorial service will be held Sunday, Aug. 6, at 5 p.m. at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, 8300 Richmond Road, Toano.Donations in his name are requested toward research for the prevention and treatment of polycystic kidney disease to the Polycystic Kidney Disease Foundation, 922 Walnut, Kansas City, MO 64106, 1-800-PKD-CURE.
