HAMPTON - Larry P. Lanning, 67, died Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Larry worked with Newport News Shipbuilding for many years. He relocated to Idaho in the construction trade and returned to Hampton Roads in 2008. He also worked in maintenance with WINN Properties. He was preceded in death by his mother, Frances Lanning; and his father, Phillip Lanning. Survivors include a son, Todd Lanning; and two brothers, Cory Lanning and Charlie Lanning. The family will receive friends Friday, June 24, from 5-7 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home.
