Joseph Dale Leftwich

Joseph D. Leftwich HAMPTON Joseph Dale Leftwich, 42, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, in his home. A Newport News native, Mr. Leftwich was a member of Community Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where he was a member of Delta Sigma Chi fraternity. Mr. Leftwich was an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his mother, Pauline H. Leftwich of Hampton; one stepsister, Brenda Liverman Curran of Newport News; and his grandmother, Edna Leftwich of Bedford. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel by the Rev. Louie V. Andrews. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
