Deane Cambridge Gunn, 53, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2001. A lifelong Hampton resident, he was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had served in civil service at Fort Monroe. Deane is survived by his wife, Debra Gunn; two daughters, Kelly Elizabeth Gunn and Stephanie Lynn Gunn; two sisters, Deana Wilson and Cathy Brackin; nieces, Ashley Wilson, Mary Via, Sue Hyatt, Debbie Richards and Amy Hall; nephews, Colgan Wilson, Darryl Lee Richards and Deane Richards. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home by Pastor L. Douglas Stowe with interment in Parklawn Memorial Park.
