HAMPTON - Giles Anderson Burton, 65, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Sentara CarePlex after a brief illness. He was a lifelong resident of Hampton. Andy was a retired parts associate with the city of Hampton and had been employed for last two years with Casey Kia. He was an avid fan of NASCAR. Andy was a gentle and giving individual in life and left this world with a donation of his corneas through LifeNet. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linwood A. and Doris Overby Burton. He is survived by his sister and her husband, Jean and Rick Daniels; his love of 24 years, Peggy Peoples; nephew, Brian Wutch; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many very close friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Andy's life will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 7, at the chapel in Parklawn Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project; P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation, Inc 7008 Little River Turnpike, Annandale, VA 22003. Ross Kimberlane Jones (1966)

What a great guy. He and I were real good friends in school and shared an interest in cars. Hope to

see you in Heaven one day. I know you are there. Love you man, Kim Jones.

I was so sorry to hear about this.  He was the sweetest guy.  Always a gentleman.
